The Comcast SportsNet Shining Star Awards
About the Event
The Second Annual Shining Star Awards will be hosted by Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, benefiting the mission of the March of Dimes - to improve the health of babies by focusing on the causes of prematurity, infant mortality and birth defects. The event will be held at 6PM on Friday, February 3rd, 2012 at the Westin Hotel in Philadelphia.
Honored at the event will be four special children who represent the urgent needs and goals of this long standing charitable organization.
The awards will be presented by players from the Phillies, Eagles, Flyers and 76ers. The players and children will have had an opportunity to spend some time together prior to the event. Comcast SportsNet will be filming these encounters and we'll be sharing the resulting footage with you during the ceremony. A Lifetime Achievement award winner will also be selected and honored at the close of the night.
